Stéphane Roy (born 26 January 1976) is aCanadian former professionalice hockeycentre.
Roy was born inSainte-Martine, Quebec. He played junior hockey in theQuebec Major Junior Hockey League for theVal-d'Or Foreurs from 1993 to 1996.
Roy was drafted 68th overall by theSt. Louis Blues in the1994 NHL Entry Draft and played three seasons in theAmerican Hockey League (AHL) for theWorcester IceCats, the Blues' affiliate, as well as one season with theQuebec Citadelles.
Roy moved to Europe in 2000, beginning in the United Kingdom'sIce Hockey Superleague with theBracknell Bees. He then spent a season in Italy'sSerie A forHC Alleghe before moving to Switzerland'sNational League B where he spent eleven seasons, four withEHC Visp and seven withHC Ajoie.
