Srivilliputtur railway station (station code: SVPR) is an NSG–5 categoryIndian railway station inMadurai railway division ofSouthern Railway zone.[4] It servesSrivilliputtur, located inVirudhunagar district of theIndian state ofTamil Nadu.[5]
It belongs to theMadurai railway division of theSouthern Railway zone ofVirudhunagar district inTamil Nadu.[6] The station code is SVPR.[7]
The station falls on the line betweenVirudhunagar Junction andTenkasi Junction.[8][9] This railway station is situated about 5 km to the east of the town. The next railway station on the south is Rajapalayam.
It is one of the 73 stations in Tamil Nadu to be named for upgradation underAmrit Bharat Station Scheme of Indian Railways.[10]
