Sport Club Penedense is a Brazilianfootball club based inPenedo,Alagoas. The senior team currently competes in theCampeonato Alagoano, and theCampeonato Brasileiro Série D.
The club was founded on 3 January 1909.[1] Penedense won theCampeonato Alagoano Second Level in 2000 and in 2004. They finished in the second position in the Campeonato Alagoano Second Level in 2011, losing the competition toCEO and thus they were promoted to the 2012Campeonato Alagoano.
Sport Club Penedense play their home games atEstádio Alfredo Leahy.[1] The stadium has a maximum capacity of 6,000 people.[2]
