The track appeared on theTeenage Mutant Ninja Turtlessoundtrack and was also released as asingle. In some territories it was released as "Spin That Wheel (Turtles Get Real)". References to drug use ("I smoke themic like weed" and"This hypes you up like speed") were edited out of the soundtrack album. ADavid Morales remix of the track was also included on the Technotronic albumTrip on This: The Remixes.
InBritain, "Spin That Wheel" was first issued in January 1990 and reached #69, but became a bigger hit when re-released that September, peaking at #15.[2] In the USA the song reached #69 on theBillboard Hot 100,[3] #8 onHot Dance Music/Maxi-Singles Sales,[4] #3 onHot Dance Club Play[5] and #39 onHot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs.[6]
