TheBureaucrats' noticeboard is a place where items related to theBureaucrats can be discussed and coordinated. Any user is welcome to leave a message or join the discussion here. Pleasestart a new section for each topic.

This is not a forum for grievances. It is a specific noticeboard addressing Bureaucrat-related issues. If you want to know more about an action by a particular bureaucrat, you should first raise the matter with them on their talk page. Please stay on topic, remaincivil, and remember toassume good faith. Take extraneous comments or threads to relevant talk pages.

If you are here to report that an RFA or an RFB is "overdue" or "expired",please wait at least 12 hours from the scheduled end time before making a post here about it. There are a fair number of active bureaucrats; and an eye is being kept on the time remaining on these discussions. Thank you for your patience.

    removal of the bit (Valereee)

I'm in an ongoing IRL situation that makes me generally less available for admin work. I'd like to set down the tools for a while. Apologies for causing work for bureaucrats simply to make my own life less stressful.Valereee (talk)18:13, 24 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Done, with no hard feelings. I restored the bits you had before the mop.Primefac (talk)21:24, 24 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]
    Thank you!Valereee (talk)22:26, 24 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]
No admin should feel a need to apologize for making decisions right for themselves. Pressing the buttons to switch up the mop is very easy, and in situations like this the hardest part about restoring is the waiting period. I post this not just for Valereee not to feel bad but for all admins to not worry about some kind of "burden" on the crats if they want to make this decision. Best,Barkeep49 (talk)00:57, 25 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, BK49, I definitely didn't intend to imply people should feel bad about causing a pretty small amount of work for crats. :) I just know that eventually I'll likely be up for doing the work again, and I of course could just exercise discipline. Instead what seems to happen is that I tend to avoid WP when I feel...guilty?...about not doing 'my share' of adminning. In this case I put the mop down and immediately started creating content again, 2 new articles in the last two days. So win-win! :DValereee (talk)17:59, 30 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Perhaps we ought to institute sabbaticals. --asilvering (talk)18:51, 30 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Done Thank you for your service. I have left your EFM as you did not make a statement about it. --Amanda (she/her)05:37, 28 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]
