Sparone is acomune (municipality) in theMetropolitan City of Turin in theItalian region ofPiedmont, located about 40 kilometres (25 mi) northwest ofTurin in theCanavese.
It is home to theRomanesque church ofSanta Croce, of medieval origin, which houses severalGothic frescoes.
The communal territory includes severalfrazioni: Aia di Pietra, Apparè, Barchero, Bisdonio, Bose, Budrer, Calsazio, Ceresetta, Costa, Feilongo, Frachiamo, Nosè, Onzino, Piani, Sommavilla, Torre, and Vasario.[3]
