Sovramonte is acomune (municipality) in the province ofBelluno in theItalian region ofVeneto, located about 80 kilometres (50 mi) northwest ofVenice and about 35 kilometres (22 mi) west ofBelluno. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 1,659 and an area of 50.8 square kilometres (19.6 sq mi).[3]
