Association football league in South Yemen

TheSouth Yemeni Football League or thePeople's Democratic Republic of Yemen Football League was anassociation football league held for domesticfootball clubs inSouth Yemen held between 1970 and 1990. The league was folded when South andNorth Yemen unified as one country (Yemen) on 22 May 1990.[1] This resulted in the creation of theYemeni League.[2]

Al-Tilal have a record six South Yemen league titles, making them the most successful out of this competition.[3] The domestic cup was theSouth Yemen Cup.
