South Solok Regency (Indonesian:Kabupaten Solok Selatan;pronounced[kabuˌpat̪ɛnˌsɔlɔʔsəˈlat̪an]) is a landlockedregency (kabupaten) ofWest Sumatra province,Indonesia. It covers an area of 3,282.14 km2, and had a population of 144,281 at the 2010 Census[2] and 182,027 at the 2020 Census;[3] the official estimate as at mid 2023 was 191,540 - comprising 97,420 males and 94,120 females.[1] The seat of the administration is the town ofPadang Aro.

Administrative divisions

South Solok Regency is divided into sevendistricts (kecamatan), listed below with their areas and their populations at the 2010 Census[2] and 2020 Census,[3] together with the official estimates as at mid 2023.[1] The table also includes the locations of the district administrative centres, the number of administrative villages (nagari) in each district, and its post code.
