Souleymane Faye (born 8 February 2003) is a Senegalese professionalfootballer who plays mainly as aleft winger forSegunda División clubGranada.
Born inDakar, Faye played for hometown side Galaxy Football Academy before moving abroad on 25 January 2022, joining Spanish sideGranada CF on loan and being assigned tothe reserves inSegunda División RFEF.[1] In July, he signed a permanent deal withPrimera Federación sideCF Talavera de la Reina.
On 12 July 2023, after scoring once in 29 matches as Talaverasuffered relegation, Faye moved toReal Betis'reserves in the fourth division, on a season-long loan.[2] He scored two goals and three assists in 18 appearances for the team throughout the2023–24 campaign,[3] before signing a permanent four-year contract with the club on 9 July 2024.[3][4]
On 8 July 2025, Faye returned to Granada on a four-year deal, now for the first team;[5] the club paid a rumoured fee of€600,000 for 50% of his economic rights belonging to Betis, while the other half still remains linked to Talavera.[6]
Faye was part of theSenegal under-20 national team squad that took part in the2023 U-20 Africa Cup of Nations.[7] He scored Senegal's first goal of the tournament in a 1–0 win overNigeria,[8] and was theplayer of the match ofthe final on 11 March, where he scored the opening goal as Senegal beatThe Gambia 2–0.[9][7]
On 5 September 2023, Faye received his first call-up to theSenegal senior national team for anAfrica Cup of Nations qualification match againstRwanda.[10] He made his full international debut four days later, replacingBouly Junior Sambou late into a 1–1 draw at theDiamniadio Olympic Stadium in his hometown.
