The screenplay concerns an English farmer who is saved from financial ruin when his dog wins at asheepdog trials.
The film was aquota quickie made fordistribution by the American companyMGM. It was filmed atShepperton Studios withlocation shooting on a farm inSussex. It received a poor review fromThe Observer criticC. A. Lejeune, but she was forced to withdraw this following numerous letters in support of the film. The film proved unexpectedly popular when it was released.[1]
