Academic society founded in 1959

TheSociety for Asian Music is anacademic society founded in 1959.[1] Its journalAsian Music was established in 1969.[2] It is an English-language journal coveringethnomusicology inAsian music.[3]Editors-in-chief have included the musicologistsMark Slobin,[4] Martin Hatch,[5]Sean Williams,[6] and currently Ricardo Trimillos.
