Thesmall-toothed forest hedgehog (Mesechinus miodon) is aspecies ofhedgehog in the genusMesechinus. It is native to China. For a long time it was considered asubspecies of theDaurian hedgehog or theHugh's hedgehog.[1] The habitat ofMesechinus miodon is dry and desert-like. They feed on various species of beetles and hibernate in late October.[2]
