TheSlovenian Red Cross (Slovene:Rdeči križ Slovenije) is anon-government andnon-profithumanitarian organisation, part of theInternational Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement. It was established inGradac in June 1944,[1] at first as part of theYugoslav Red Cross. It became an independent entity after theSlovenian proclamation of independence in 1991. It has its headquarters inLjubljana, Slovenia.[2]
