Skipanes (Danish:Skibenæs) is ahamlet on the Faeroese island ofEysturoy inRunavík Municipality. Founded in 1841, the population as of August 2022 was 55 people.[1] In amalgamation withundir Gøtueiði inEysturkommuna, it forms a tinyconurbation; a small creek acts as a border between the two settlements. Notable residents of Skipanes includeTerji Skibenæs, the guitarist of the Faeroese Viking Metal groupTýr (band).
