Simone Barontini (born 5 January 1999) is an Italianmiddle distance runner, who specializes in the800 metres. He has won sevennational titles at thesenior level.
He participated at one edition of theEuropean Athletics Championships in 2018, and one of theEuropean Athletics Indoor Championships in 2019.[1] He finished eighth at the2019 European U23 Championships. He gained gold at the2021 European U23 Championships inTallinn.
