Silvio Parodi (3 November 1931 - 9 October 1989) was a Paraguayanfootball player and manager. He was part ofParaguay'ssquad that won the1953 South American Championship.[1] He later coached Paraguay during the1987 Copa América.[2]

International career

Parodi was selected toParaguay'ssquad for the1953 South American Championship.[1] He only played one game in the tournament, the final againstBrazil on 1 April.[3] Paraguay defeated Brazil and won the competition, its firstCopa America title. It was Parodi's first cap with Paraguay.[4]

He was again in Paraguay'ssquad for the 1st1959 South American Championship in Argentina, played four games and scored two goals[5]

Eight months later, he was in Paraguay'ssquad for the 2nd1959 South American Championship in Ecuador, playing four games and scoring three goals.[6]

Thefriendly against Brazil on 29 June 1961[7] was his 17th and last cap with Paraguay, and he scored his seventh and last goal with the national team.[4]
