TheSilverthrone Glacier is aglacier in the southernCoast Mountains ofBritish Columbia, Canada.[1] It is one of two largevalley glaciers at the head ofKnight Inlet, the other being theKlinaklini Glacier.[1][2][3] Both glaciers drain the approximately 3,600 km2 (1,400 mi2)Ha-Iltzuk Icefield and converge before flowing south towards Knight Inlet.[1]
The Silverthrone Glacier shares its name withSilverthrone Mountain and theSilverthrone Caldera, both of which are volcanic features that have formed in the last one million years.[4]
