Sigean (French pronunciation:[siʒɑ̃]ⓘ;Occitan:Sijan) is acommune in theAudedepartment in southernFrance. It formerly laid onRoute nationale 9 betweenNarbonne andPerpignan,[3] but RN 9 (downgraded toroute départementale 6009) now bypasses the town of Sigean and is itself bypassed by theA9 autoroute.
