Genus of lizards
Sigaloseps is agenus ofskinks which inhabit the moist, closed forest of southernNew Caledonia.
Conservation status
[edit]There is some conservation concern forSigaloseps because of mining activity taking place in the region.

Nota bene: Abinomial authority in parentheses indicates that the species was originally described in a genus other thanSigaloseps.
Thespecific name,deplanchei, is in honor ofFrenchnaturalistÉmile Deplanche.[3]
