Thesiege of Masulipatam was aBritish siege of the town ofMasulipatam, held by theFrench andDutch, in India during theSeven Years' War.[1] The siege commenced on 6 March 1759 and lasted until the storming of the town by the British on 7 April.[2] The British were commanded by ColonelFrancis Forde while the French defenders were under the command ofConflans.
The British taking of the town helped relieve theSiege of Madras.
