Shepsy (also spelledShepsi) was an Ancient Egyptian sun god worshiped in Hermopolis. He is believed to be either the son of or husband ofNehmetawy and was often depicted nearThoth. He was worshiped as far back as theOld Kingdom but became significantly more important during the18th and19th dynasty. Shepsy was usually depicted as a man wearing asun disk or moon disk.[1][2]
