Shekay orShikaiDari:شهرستان شِکی is one of the 28 districts ofBadakhshan province in northeasternAfghanistan.[1] It was created in 2005 from part ofDarwaz District and is home to approximately 26,000 residents. This district bordersNusay andKuf Ab districts in Badakhshan and alsoDarvoz District in theGorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region ofTajikistan.
The villageJarf is the capital of the Shekay district.
