Shaun Balfe (born 4 June 1972) is aBritish[1]racing cardriver fromGrantham who won the 2004Spanish GT Championship. In 2006 he raced aSaleen S7R for Balfe Motorsport[2]in theFIA GT Championship[3] He currently races in theBritish GT Championship in aMcLaren 720S GT3 withRob Bell in2019.[4] He finished third in the GT3 championship that year.
He attendedCaythorpe primary school[5]and theSir William Robertson School, where he gained eight GCSEs, with only English Literature at grade C or above.[6]
By 1991 he lived on Rectory Lane inLeadenham, where he took BTEC Building Studies atGrantham College.[7] His father, David Balfe (born 29 September 1951),[8] ownedFortec Motorsport of Grantham.[9] He later studied building management atNottingham Trent University.[10]
