Ningbo Professional Football Club (Chinese:宁波职业足球俱乐部;pinyin:Níngbō Zhíyè Zúqiú Jùlèbù) is a Chinese professionalfootball club based inNingbo,Zhejiang, that competes inChina League One, the second tier ofChinese football. Ningbo plays its home matches at theNingbo Cixi Stadium, located withinCixi. Founded in 2009 in the city ofShanghai, Shanghai Jiading Huilong moved to Ningbo in December 2025.
The club was founded in 2009 asShanghai Boji F.C. In 2013, they changed their name toShanghai Jiading Boo King. In2015 the club qualified for the first round of theChinese FA Cup, losing on penalties toQingdao Kunpeng after a 0–0 draw.[2][3]
In 2017, they changed their English name toShanghai Jiading Boji. In2019 Chinese FA Cup, the team entered the fifth round by overpowering professional clubsYanbian Beiguo,Zhejiang Yiteng andBeijing BSU, becoming the only amateur club left in the cup.[4] Also in the same year, they finished 5th in the2019 Chinese Champions League and gained promotion toChina League Two for the first time in club history after beatingXi'an Daxing Chongde in the promotion/relegation play-offs.
In January 2021, they changed their name toShanghai Jiading Huilong. After finishing 7th in the promotion group and missing promotion toChina League One, they were admitted into the2022 China League One after the last-minute withdrawal ofChongqing Liangjiang Athletic fromChinese Super League.
