Shahanur is the river in WesternVidarbha region ofMaharashtra state inIndia. It is a tributary ofPurna river. It flows through the Anjangaon Surji 444705Amravati district andAkola district.

The river originates in theSatpuda ranges on the border ofAmravati district ofMaharashtra andBetul district ofMadhya Pradesh. It then flows in the south direction for almost 100 km before emptying intoPurna inAkola district.

There is a dam constructed on the river. The dam is situated 8 km from nearest townAnjangaon.
