Sh 2-27 is anemission nebula in the constellationOphiuchus. It is extended around the region containing the starZeta Ophiuchi. The star produces a notablebow shock.[5] The nebula is very faint, but very large in the sky. It is a portion of theRho Ophiuchi cloud complex.
