Sharpless 140 is anH II region andemission nebula in theCepheus constellation,[2] 3,000 light years from theSolar System.[1] It is part of the Cepheus bubble.[3] The surface of the nebula's clouds primarily consists ofpolycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons.[4]
