Shéu Han (born 3 August 1953), known simply asShéu (Portuguese pronunciation:[ˈʃɛw]), is a Portuguese retiredfootballer who played as acentral midfielder.
He representedBenfica for 17 years of his professional career. He also served as theircaretaker manager in 1999.[2]
Shéu would all but remain inLisbon until the end of his career and evencaptained the team from 1987 to 1988. He was an important member in the conquest of ninePrimeira Liga championships and sixTaça de Portugal.[6]
Shéu wascapped 24 times for thePortugal national team.[17] He made his debut on 7 April 1976 in a 3–1friendly loss againstItaly inTurin,[18] and scored his only goal on 23 September 1981 to help the hosts to defeatPoland 2–0 in another exhibition game.[10]
