Seth Ward (11 November 1645 – 11 May 1690) was anAnglicanpriest: theArchdeacon of Wilts from 1675 until 1687.[1]
Ward was born inBuntingford and educated atNew College, Oxford.[2] He graduatedB.A. in 1671 andM.A. in 1674. He wasRector ofBrightwell-cum-Sotwell, Oxfordshire from 1675 until his death;Chancellor ofSalisbury Cathedral from 1681 to 1687; andTreasurer from 1687 until his death. He was also aPrebendary ofWinchester Cathedral.[3]
His uncle, also calledSeth Ward, wasBishop of Salisbury from 1667 to 1689.[4]
