TheAICSerie A Defender of the Year (Italian:Migliore difensore AIC) was a yearly award organized by theItalian Footballers' Association (AIC) from 2000 to 2010 as part of theOscar del Calcio awards event, given to thedefender who was considered to have performed the best over the previousSerie A season.

Since 2011, the best defenders are chosen as part of theSerie A Team of the Year award within theGran Galà del Calcio awards event.
