Sergey Stanislavovich Rakhmanin (Russian:Сергей Станиславович Рахманин) (born October 18, 1961 inKarl-Marx-Stadt, Germany) is aRussian powered andglideraerobatic pilot andflight instructor.
In 1991, he became the lastUSSR Absolute Aerobatic Champion.[1] Sergei Rakhmanin won the title in the overall category ofFAI European Aerobatic Championships in 1999 andFAI World Aerobatic Championships in 2003 and in 2005.[2]
He won the bronze medal in the 1995World Glider Aerobatic Championships and the team gold together withMikhail Mamistov andVictor Tchmal.[3] Additionally, he won the team gold medal in the 1996European Glider Aerobatic Championships together withMikhail Mamistov andSergei Krikalev.[4]
He raced in 2007 and 2008Red Bull Air Race World Championships.
