TheSerbian Billie Jean King Cup team representsSerbia in theBillie Jean King Cuptennis competition and is governed by theTennis Federation of Serbia.

As the legal successor to previous national teams, Serbia has inherited all results from the formerYugoslavia andSerbia and Montenegro teams. Since June 2006, following the dissolution ofSerbia and Montenegro, the team has competed under the name Serbia.

In2012, the team reached its firstFed Cup final, achieving victories over theBelgium andRussia teams in away ties, before ultimately losing to theCzech Republic inPrague. That same year, theOlympic Committee of Serbia honored the Fed Cup team asthe best women's team of 2012.

Serbia, together with other formerYugoslavian countries, competed in its first Fed Cup in1969, asYugoslavian Fed Cup team until1992. Yugoslavia reached the semifinals in1984, with1977 French Open champion,Mima Jaušovec andSabrina Goleš in the team.

From 1995

Together with, what is nowMontenegro Fed Cup team, Serbia competed under name ofYugoslavia from1995 until2003; and from20042006 under name ofSerbia and Montenegro. After Montenegro declared its independence, Serbia is competing under its present name since2007.

The biggest success from1995 is when Serbia Fed Cup team reached the final in2012 Fed Cup World Group, where they lost toCzech Republic in away tie.
