It had its world premiere at the2025 South by Southwest Film & TV Festival on March 8, 2025. It premiered September 9, 2025, onHBO.[1]

In August 2020, it was announced Phil Bertelsen would direct a documentary revolving aroundAfrican-American representation in Hollywood, withIssa Rae set to executive produce andHBO Documentary Films producing and distributing.[3]

It had its world premiere at the2025 South by Southwest Film & TV Festival on March 8, 2025.[4] It also screened at theAmerican Black Film Festival on June 13, 2025.[5]
