Seddon Conservation Park is aprotected area inSouth Australia located onKangaroo Island. It was dedicated in 1971 to protect a representative sample of thelateritic plateau vegetation of the central part of the island.[4]
The conservation park has an area of 23 ha (57 acres) and is located in the locality ofSeddon about 5.5 km (3.4 mi) south of the town ofParndana and 40 km (25 mi) south-west ofKingscote.[5] TheEleanor River flows through the conservation park. The vegetation is mainly awoodland association ofEucalyptus leucoxylon andE. fasciculosa, with openshrubland ofE. cosmophylla andE. baxteri overAllocasuarina muelleriana,Xanthorrhoea tateana andMelaleuca uncinata.[4] The conservation park is classified as anIUCN Category III protected area.[1]
