Second Valley is a coastal town on theFleurieu Peninsula inSouth Australia.

The name is derived from being the next valley north ofRapid Bay, the initial camp onSouth Australian mainland ofColonel William Light. It is a popularscuba diving destination.

Despite its small size, Second Valley has been rated as one of Australia's top ten beaches, with the variety of activities and opportunities to explore cited as contributing factors.[9][opinion]

Second Valley is located within the federaldivision of Mayo, the stateelectoral district of Mawson and the local government area of theDistrict Council of Yankalilla.[3][4][2]
