Sean Maluta (born September 30, 1988) is an Americanprofessional wrestler currently competing on theindependent circuit . He made a number of appearances withWWE and took part in the firstCruiserweight Classic . He has also made appearances forImpact Wrestling (now known as Total Nonstop Action Wrestling) andAll Elite Wrestling (AEW).
Professional wrestling career [ edit ] Maluta has made several appearances for WWE, starting in June 2016 when he was announced as one of 32 men participating in the inaugural Cruiserweight Classic. In his first and only match in the tournament, Maluta was eliminated byKota Ibushi .[ 4] Maluta again wrestled for WWE on July 13, this time in theirdevelopmental territory NXT , losing toHideo Itami .[ 5] The following day, Maluta teamed with fellow CWC participantMustafa Ali in a dark match, losing toTM61 (Nick Miller andShane Thorne ).[ 6] The following month, Maluta teamed withAriya Daivari in a loss to theBollywood Boyz (Gurv and Harv Sihra),[ 7] and again lost to the Bollywood Boyz in September, this time teaming withDanny Burch .[ 8] Maluta again returned to WWE in October, losing toBobby Roode , once again in NXT.[ 9] Maluta appeared on NXT on March 1, 2017, he wassquashed byPatrick Clark .[ 10] [ 11] Maluta again competed for WWE in January 2017 on205 Live , first losing inTajiri 's return match,[ 12] and then toThe Brian Kendrick the following week.[ 13] Maluta returned to NXT on May 17, 2017, losing toDrew McIntyre . Maluta made another appearance the following year on the July 25 edition of NXT losing toAdam Cole .[ 14] In 2023, Maluta made his debut inBoca Raton Championship Wrestling and wrestled against Alan S2S Martinez.[ 15]
