Schedius (Ancient Greek: ΣχεδίοςSkhedíos means 'near') was a name attributed to four individuals inGreek mythology.

• Schedius, son ofIphitus byHippolyte orThrasybule^[1] and brother ofEpistrophus.^[2] He was counted among the suitors ofHelen.^[3] In theIliad, he and his brother lead thePhocians on the side of theAchaeans in theTrojan War,^[4] Schedius being commander of ten ships out of forty brought by both brothers.^[2][5] He was killed whenHector threw a spear atAjax, who dodged it.^[6] Both brothers' bones, were carried back and buried atAnticyra. Their tomb existed until the Roman times.Pausanias also cites that Schedius's icon was displayed atDelphi.^[7]
• Schedius, son ofPerimedes, was a leader of the Phocians. He was killed by Hector.^[8]
• Schedius, a defender ofTroy who was killed byNeoptolemus.^[9]
• Schedius, one of theSuitors ofPenelope who came fromDulichium along with other 56 wooers.^[10] He, with the other suitors, was shot dead byOdysseus with the assistance ofEumaeus,Philoetius, andTelemachus.^[11]
