Dacian tribes.

TheScaugdae were an ancient people living between theHaemus Mountains and theDanube river.

History

They are known from only one passage fromPliny the Elder'sNaturalis Historia, where he mentions them alongside theAedi andClariae as the neighbours of theGetae.[1]

According to the scholar Georgi Mihailov, the Scaugdae were a Getic tribe.[2]
