Scappoose Airport (ICAO:KSPB,FAALID:SPB, formerly1S4)[note 1] is a public useairport located one nautical mile (1.85 km) northeast of thecentral business district ofScappoose, inColumbia County,Oregon,United States.[1] It is owned and operated by the Port of Columbia County, an Oregonport district andmunicipal corporation, on behalf of district residents. According to the FAA'sNational Plan of Integrated Airport Systems for 2009–2013, it is categorized as ageneral aviation airport.[4]
Several privately held firms in the general aviation manufacturing industry are headquartered at the Scappoose Airport.
Scappoose Airport covers an area of 196acres (79 ha) at anelevation of 58 feet (18 m) abovemean sea level. It has onerunway designated 15/33 with anasphalt surface measuring 5,100 by 100 feet (1,554 x 30 m).[1]
