Savanne is a dispersed rural community and unincorporated area ingeographic Savanne Township in theUnorganized Part ofThunder Bay District inNorthwesternOntario,Canada.[1] The community was historically the location of aHudson's Bay Company trading post.[2]
The community lies at the junction of the Savanne and Little Savanne Rivers, just east ofLac des Mille Lacs. It is located alongOntario Highway 17, approximately 22 kilometres east ofUpsala, and 156 kilometres west ofThunder Bay.
