Sauzon (French pronunciation:[sozɔ̃];Breton:Saozon) is acommune on the island ofBelle Île in theMorbihandepartment of theregion ofBrittany in north-westernFrance.[3] Inhabitants of Sauzon are calledSauzonnais.
Sauzon is one of the four communes of Belle-île en Mer. The town occupies the northwestern part of the island. The village center is located at the mouth of the Sauzon river, 5.8 km (3.6 mi) northwest of Le Palais.
