Koneti Adimulam is the currentMLA of the constituency, having won the2024 Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly election fromTelugu Desam Party. As of 2019, there are a total of 202,771 electors in the constituency.[2][needs update] The constituency was established in 1962, as per theDelimitation Orders (1962).
