Satyadharma Tirtha (c. 1743 – c. 1830)[2] was aHindu philosopher, scholar, theologian and saint belonging to theDvaita order ofVedanta. He was the 28th abbot ofUttaradi Math sinceMadhvacharya from 1797-1830.[3]

Life

Satyadharma Tirtha was born in 1743 inSavanur,Haveri district,Karnataka. Hispurvashrama name was Navaratna Purushottamacharya.[2] He belongs to Navaratna family of scholars, who belongs toDeshastha Madhwa Brahmin family.[4][5] Satyadharma Tirtha was a contemporary and guru of DewanPurnaiah.[6]
