Thespot-winged starling (Saroglossa spilopterus) is a species ofstarling in the familySturnidae. It breeds in northernIndia and westernNepal; it winters inNortheast India, north-easternBangladesh andMyanmar. Its naturalhabitats aresubtropical or tropical moist lowland forest and subtropical or tropical moistmontane forest. This species was first bred in the UK by Mrs K.M. Scamell in 1969. It eats insects and fruit.[2] It also feeds on nectar fromErythrina,Bombax, andGrevillea trees.[3]
