Santiago Javier Ostolaza Sosa (born 10 July 1962 inDolores,Soriano) is aUruguayan formerfootballmidfielder and the currentmanager of theUruguayan U-17 national team. Among others clubs, he was manager forNacional of Uruguay. He played for the same team when he was a player, and in 1988 he received the prize as man of the match after theIntercontinental Cup final againstPSV Eindhoven, in which he scored two goals.[2]

Ostolaza made 43 appearances for theUruguay national football team from 1985 to 1993[3] and played at the1990 FIFA World Cup.[4]

He has a son, also namedSantiago Ostolaza, who currently plays forMontevideo Wanderers.
