Samsung Internet is aweb browser developed bySamsung Electronics. It was made by the company as a basic mobile browser for theSamsung GalaxyAndroid-based devices,[1] and it has also been released forWindows. The browser is based onChromium.

Samsung estimated that it had around 400 millionmonthly active users in 2016. According toStatCounter, it had a market share of around 3.53% of mobile devices in December 2025, having peaked at 7% in 2019.[2]

History

Samsung Internet replaced the stockAOSP (Android) browser as the default on Samsung Galaxy devices in 2013.[3][4][5]

With the release ofOne UI 3.1 in 2021, users of Samsung Internet (andSamsung Notes) can copy and paste to theclipboard between Galaxy devices in sync.[6]

In November 2023, Samsung Internet was released for MicrosoftWindows via theMicrosoft Store before being removed in January 2024 without explanation.[7] On October 30, 2025, Samsung released Internet on Windows again in beta.[8]
