TheSamsung Galaxy A36 5G is a mid-rangeAndroid-basedsmartphone developed and manufactured bySamsung Electronics as a part of itsGalaxy A series. It was announced along with the Galaxy A56 5G on 2 March 2025. It was unveiled atMWC,Barcelona on 1 March and later in India on 3 March.[1][2]
The front and back is made ofCorningGorilla Glass Victus+ and the frame is made of plastic. The Galaxy A36 5G continues to featureIP67 dust and water resistance.
The design of the Galaxy A36 5G is similar to the entire Galaxy Ax5 line-up, featuring a flat frame and the Key Island. It introduces a single camera module and a 'Radiance' inspired colour theme.
The Galaxy A36 5G has adopted 128 GB / 256 GB of UFS 2.2 storage.
On the bottom of the smartphone, there is aUSB-C 2.0 port, twomicrophones and aloudspeaker. On the top, there is an additional microphone and adual SIM tray (SIM 1 + SIM 2 or SIM 1 + eSIM 1 or dual eSIM — eSIM compatibility depends on region). On the right side, there is the volume rocker and the power button. Samsung no longer provides SD card support on this phone.[3]

The initial software it was released with isAndroid 15 withOne UI 7. It will get 6 OS updates, until 2031.[5]
At the end of September 2025, it started receiving the One UI 8 update.[6]
