TheSamsung Galaxy A12,Samsung Galaxy M12 andSamsung Galaxy F12 are entry-level 64-bitAndroidsmartphones manufactured bySamsung Electronics.

TheSamsung Galaxy A12 was announced on November 24, 2020 as a successor to theSamsung Galaxy A11.[1]

TheSamsung Galaxy M12 is later announced on February 5, 2021 in India as a successor to theSamsung Galaxy M11, while sharing some similarities to the Galaxy A12. However, it sports the Samsung's in-houseExynos 850SoC with an octa-core CPU and 8nm process instead of the Mediatek Helio P35 SoC in Galaxy A12. It also has a 6000mAhlithium-polymer battery and is 8.9% thicker and 7.8% heavier than the Galaxy A12. The Indian Samsung Galaxy M12 was later released asSamsung Galaxy F12 in April 5, 2021. A similar Galaxy M12 is released in Europe on April 19, 2021, but with 5000 mAh battery instead of 6000 mAh like the Indian Galaxy M12 does.

The Samsung Galaxy A12 was not available in theUnited States until April 2021.[2][3] The model of the Samsung Galaxy A12 that was made available in the U.S. had 3 GBRAM and a 16 MP main camera, rather than the 48 MP camera found in newer models.

On August 9, 2021, a new variant of the phone called theSamsung Galaxy A12Nacho was announced. This variant of the phone is powered by Samsung's in-houseExynos 850[4]SoC with an octa-core CPU and 8nm process instead of the previous MediaTek Helio P35 SoC, in addition to the operating system being updated to Android 11.[5][6] Aside from these differences, both the Galaxy A12 and Galaxy A12 Nacho have very similar specifications, where the Nacho variant supports both 2.4Ghz and 5GhzWi-Fi protocols, whilst the prior model supported only 2.4Ghz.[7]
