Sambreville (French pronunciation:[sɑ̃bʁəvil];Walloon:Sambveye) is amunicipality and since March 12, 2024 aBelgiancity[2] ofWallonia located in theprovince of Namur, Belgium.
On January 1, 2006, Sambreville had a total population of 26,949. The total area is 34.20 km2 (13.20 sq mi) which gives apopulation density of 788 inhabitants per square kilometre (2,040/sq mi).
The municipality was created in 1977, as part of the post-1974fusion of the Belgian municipalities, bringing together theancienne communes (now towns and villages) of:
